Fire Evacuation Exercise And Report

FIRE EVACUATION EXERCISE AND REPORT

The evacuation exercise is an integral part of the training process to underpin the knowledge gained through the training sessions. It puts all Fire Wardens and Occupants working in the building through a scenario based emergency evacuation situation. Importantly, it highlights what works and what improvements may need to be implemented.

WHO NEEDS TO ATTEND

All Occupants in the workplace. (This is a requirement of Qld Building Fire Safety Regulations 2008)

DURATION

20Mins to 30Mins dependent on size and complexity of site.

EXERCISE OUTLINE

  • Attending site to document the exercise and conducting debrief.
  • Guide if necessary, the Chief Warden in the use of the EWIS/EWS (Fire Panel).
  • Completing a debrief after the exercise to identify any issues with the emergency plan.
  • Complete a report identifying issues and recommendations based on the exercise and debrief including the times involved in the evacuation process.
