FIRE SAFETY TRAINING

GENERAL AND 1ST RESPONSE EVACUATION INSTRUCTIONS

This course meets the requirements of the Qld Building Fire Safety Regulations 2008​.
Professionally developed presentation delivered on site by experienced and engaging trainer instructing the safe procedures to follow in the event of an emergency situation requiring evacuation. This course also gives Occupants important instruction in the use of the emergency response equipment available to them in their workplace.

WHO NEEDS TO ATTEND

All delegated Chief & Deputy Chief Wardens in a workplace. (This is a requirement of Qld Building Fire Safety Regulations 2008)

DURATION

45 Mins dependent on size and complexity of site.

CERTIFICATION

As required by the Qld Building Fire Safety Regulations, an attendance register will be provided at the conclusion of the course. This is not an accredited course. If requested, a Statement of Attendance can be issued at an additional cost.

The topics covered, as described in AS3745 2010 includes:
  • Occupant responsibilities within the emergency plan
  • Types of emergencies within the emergency plan
  • Roles, responsibilities, identification and authority of the ECO
  • Safely reacting to alarms
  • Responding to fire emergencies
  • Reporting emergencies and raising alarms
  • Recognising and reporting unsafe conditions
  • Location of assembly areas
  • Location of egress routes
  • Evacuation procedures
  • Post emergency procedures
  • Procedures for specific emergencies
  • Evacuating from endangered areas
  • Identifying the classes of fire
